Where to stay in Salta

Salta's status as the tourist hub of northwestern Argentina means that a wide array of accommodations has sprung up throughout the city. The majority are concentrated around the city's grid-like center, surrounding Plaza 9 de Julio. For something more relaxed and closer to nature, go southeast and explore the area around Parque San Martin.   • This impressive monument lies at the bottom of Cerro San Bernardom, you will see it if walking but may miss it if taking the cable car.  more »
