Dique Cabra Corral, Salta
(4.2/5 based on 180+ reviews on the web)
Participate in extreme sports during your trip to Dique Cabra Corral, a reservoir that provides hydroelectric power for a large portion of northern Argentina. While farmers also use this water for irrigation, tourists visit the area for its variety of outdoor sports. Trek through the forests around the reservoir or venture out on the water with a rented boat or kayak. For something even more adrenaline-inducing, arrange for bungee jumping or rappelling experiences in the nearby mountains. Put Dique Cabra Corral and other Salta attractions into our Salta trip itinerary maker, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • The only company that there are activities is not reliable. It is good to go by car, but to go in micro or collective not worth.

  • I took advantage of that I had a few days off in Salta and found that there is a company that makes sports in Cabra Coral. The company name is Extreme Games. I closed the Adrenaline package, which includes bungee jumping, rappelling, Tyrolean and bugee jumping. They also offer the transfer, but I was alone, for me it was not worth it. So I went to bus. I got the # line 5:00 pm front of Plaza San Martin (pay attention to the timetables of the bus because he only comes out at specific times and the path towards the dam lasts around 1:15). The bus goes through various towns until reaching the dike, he circumvents the dike until you reach the bridge where are made the activities. I had the opportunity to take a tour by speedboat in the levee until one of its islands. The dam has nice scenery, but only worth going up there if you're going to do something else, because it's a long ride.

  • The dam is located relatively near the city of Salta. You reach it by a road winding and full of beautiful views. It is a huge water mirror with restaurants and hotels on their sides and where extreme sports are practiced, are caught very good silverside which are then served in the various restaurants
