Architectural Building Tourist Spot
Spend some time at Centro Cultural America, the arts and cultural epicenter at the heart of Salta. The center's ever-changing list of programmes includes educational workshops, art exhibitions, concerts, and a meeting place for social or business groups, so check the schedule ahead of your arrival. Arturo Prins designed the striking colonial architecture, and one of the building's many guises includes acting as a government house until 1987, when it was then reappropriated as the cultural center found today. • The building is the former Government House, is now a Cultural Center. It is located opposite the Plaza 9 de Julio. Building in perfect state of conservation. It is worth pausing a few minutes to see each of the details of its architecture. Night light, enhances its beauty.

  • We were surprised by the quality of the materials and the French style of construction. It was a building devoted to club for Salta socialites, which was expropriated by the end of the 40s by the Peronist Government then aimed at provincial government headquarters. the interior, very well illuminated at night is very careful and artisans exhibit is worth a visit...!

Where to stay in Salta

Salta's status as the tourist hub of northwestern Argentina means that a wide array of accommodations has sprung up throughout the city. The majority are concentrated around the city's grid-like center, surrounding Plaza 9 de Julio. For something more relaxed and closer to nature, go southeast and explore the area around Parque San Martin. You can opt for anything from a healthy range of budget accommodations, including hostels and small guesthouses, all the way to luxury hotels.
