  • Beautiful! It was a pending subject for me that I have traveled almost all the roads of Argentina. We leave Payogasta to the north, we pass La Poma without any effort and the road starts to get more bravo about 15 km before the opening, we crossed 5 arroyitos, 2 of them a little more flowing but passable carefully by any vehicle (eye that was October and not it's rainy season) the climbs are steep but the road is good and well maintained. Reaching the Acay Open is a lifelong experience. Neither my lady nor I mated, we were tasting some coca candies from passing La Poma and we moved with peace of mind at the height, after taking the well-known and beautiful photos in the abra, we went down to San Antonio de los Cobres without problems we continue for the Salinas Grand it is already in Jujuy and by the slope of Lipán we pass through Purmamarca and finish the trip in Tilcara. Very happy with the travel experience.

  • Departing from Puna, by San Antonio de los Cobres you take the RN40 route to La Poma and Cachi. Inflows into the Calchaquí Valley. It is a well-maintained path that can be done almost all the anus except for a few winter days. Or when there's a lot of rain from the wading of a river. They're dividing flames viciouñas. Amazing landscapes. At its highest point according to GPS you reach 4913 meters

  • Amazing road.
  • Ideal for visiting in dry months, us and we went to winter, in August. If it has not rained you can access with a conventional car, the track from San Antonio de los Cobres is in perfect condition. Anyway I recommend talking with locals before encouraging them to upload. Surely the point of tourist information, recommend that you not go up, so it is better to ask some bar or trade. Keep in mind that there are a few gusts of wind exaggerated us we could not get to touch the signal coming out of the car because we took the wind. Will the higher neck where you can be reached by car from all over America. The views are impressive and if you have luck you can see the Vicuñas.
