Saldungaray Cemetary, Saldungaray

(4.1/5 based on 100+ reviews on the web)
Head to Saldungaray Cemetary to witness a work by an eminent national architect and engineer. Built in the early- to mid-20th century, the idiosyncratic architecture of the giant cross and arch at the gates was designed by famed Argentine-Italian architect Francisco Salamone. The cemetery is not very well signposted in either English or Spanish, so you may need to play it by ear as you traverse the grounds. Head to the nearby tourist office if you require any extra information. • The entrance to the cemetery is a work developed by Salamone, is the passage of route 72, worth stopping a few minutes to appreciate it, it is not necessary to enter the place.

  • I knew the place by the programme on "the road" is to visit if you like art and you know the story of the architect. In blue and other places you can also see works of the author, but this is the most striking in my opinion.
