#3 of 15 in Museums in Rosario
Appreciate one of the architectural and cultural jewels of Rosario's historical center at Museo Municipal de Arte Decorativo Firma y Odilo Estévez, a museum and gallery located in the former home of the Estevez family. Donated to the city in 1968 by Dona Mayor Estevez--in tribute to her late husband, Odilo--the museum collects works accrued by the family and displays them within the mansion's Italianate rooms. Admire the variety of works on display, including European paintings, jewelry, and textiles from across the globe. Head to the room at the very back of the building to see temporary exhibits. • A remarkable and enriching sample of the way of life of high class Rosario in the 20th century. Valuable collections. It's like entering Europe for a while.

  • Excellent Museum, in a House of a patrician family of Rosario, located opposite the main Plaza 25 de Mayo, which it shares with the municipality, the oath passage (access to the monument to the flag), the Cathedral and mail a privileged position. The House is an architecture italics from the beginning of the 1900, with a facade of Carrara marble, spacious rooms decorated with all the furniture and original finishes of the House, gathered during many years and travel by the owners. Very nice courtyards. Excellent location, in the Centre of the city, very close to the River, the monument and the coast of Paraná

Where to stay in Rosario

Crowding around the city center, most accommodations in Rosario sit within a few minutes' walk of the Parana River's west bank. Budget options remain plentiful in the central districts, with an array of hostels catering to Rosario's younger visitors. Boutique hotels offer something for mid-range travelers, while luxury accommodations are relatively rare. If you want something quieter, consider the neighborhood of Del Abasto, south of the city center.
