Museo Municipal de Arte Decorativo Firma y Odilo Estévez, Rosario
(4.3/5 based on 170+ reviews on the web)
Appreciate one of the architectural and cultural jewels of Rosario's historical center at Museo Municipal de Arte Decorativo Firma y Odilo Estévez, a museum and gallery located in the former home of the Estevez family. Donated to the city in 1968 by Dona Mayor Estevez--in tribute to her late husband, Odilo--the museum collects works accrued by the family and displays them within the mansion's Italianate rooms. Admire the variety of works on display, including European paintings, jewelry, and textiles from across the globe. Head to the room at the very back of the building to see temporary exhibits. • This museum was the residence of the marriage formed by greater Firma y Odilo Estévez, owners of one of the largest in Argentina Yerba. O. Estévez's death, his widow bequeathed his home where he lived with his sisters to the city of Rosario, and also much of their other property so that the municipality of Rosario could maintain it in perpetuity. When died firm M. Estévez, and then her unmarried sisters, the legacy became effective, and since then it is the city's heritage. It is a great sample of the lifestyle of the wealthy families in the early 20TH century, featuring works of art ireemplazables,

  • The cramped Municipal Decorative Art Museum Firma y Odilo Estevez is on Plaza 25 de Mayo and becomes a pleasant surprise when I come in and see all that furniture and articles of yesteryear. Care in the summer only works of 9 to 14 hours.

  • This typical building of European construction with its rooms in a traditional French style of the 17TH century, contain a treasure of art of great value - addition to monetary - historical and heritage very rich for the city of Rosario. It has all its rooms decorated and with their own art objects, a patio with a fountain and a stable on the back of the building - which exit to calle San Lorenzo - currently runs a renovated exhibition hall where artists local its are his best production.
