Erected in memory of Manuel Belgrano, the man who created Argentina's flag, Monumento a la Bandera (Flag Monument) cuts a striking figure in Rosario's skyline. Consisting of a 70 m (230 ft) tower, a courtyard, and column-style monument, the complex celebrates Argentinean independence, obtained in the early 19th century. Make sure you check out the small underground museum, which explains the flag's history and provides other information about Latin American countries. • The environment is beautiful, is next to the Cathedral of Rosario, facing the River, surrounded by Park, fountains, sculptures, gastronomy... It's always beautiful to see it, even step out there.

  • Landmark in Rosario where every june 20th, the countrys presidente holds a ceremony in honour to the argentine national flag (light blue and white with a sun face in its middle). Espacious place with 24hs acces to walk or seat and enjoy the quietness and view of sorroundings.
  • A national monument very dear to local people, full of meaning.
  • Imponente y único nuestro Monumento, orgullo nacional! Amazing and one of the best monument in the world! The Argentinan flag memorial in Rosario.
  • You can not miss it when in Rosario. Use elevator for view over Paraná river.
  • Monumental space, on top of the tower nice view on the city and river although space is very limited

Where to stay in Rosario

Crowding around the city center, most accommodations in Rosario sit within a few minutes' walk of the Parana River's west bank. Budget options remain plentiful in the central districts, with an array of hostels catering to Rosario's younger visitors. Boutique hotels offer something for mid-range travelers, while luxury accommodations are relatively rare. If you want something quieter, consider the neighborhood of Del Abasto, south of the city center.
