  • Much of Rosario is reduced in the postcard of the stadium of the Club Atlético Rosario Central on the coastal promenade of the Paraná River: soccer, rio, passion and Fontanarrosa. Towers of light and recognizable silhouette from any point of the river that shapes the physiognomy of the city. A stadium feel its localia and in which is worthwhile if one is inside, come and live a party ride through the city. It has no particular interest visit it emptied. A stadium that is part of the literature of black Fontanarrosa, that intellectual disguised as a humorist who left us so many things... like the "Ashes" story and many others that occur in this scenario. It is not for the largest town football pitch and the only one that was host to a global,... it was on June 21, 1978, and Argentina earned him 6-0 to Peru in this Court to qualify to the final and becoming Champion. The rest is history.

  • Since 1926 it is home of the biggest football club in Rosario, it is property of Rosario Central Football Club. Awesome stadium with a capacity around 43000 people seating. Located just a few meters from the Parana River - The Giant of Arroyito was one of the stadiums used for the 1978 World Cup won by Argentina. Try to get into a home match to experience its fascinating vibration from the fans and the Parana perfume that occasionally gets into El Gigante.

Where to stay in Rosario

Crowding around the city center, most accommodations in Rosario sit within a few minutes' walk of the Parana River's west bank. Budget options remain plentiful in the central districts, with an array of hostels catering to Rosario's younger visitors. Boutique hotels offer something for mid-range travelers, while luxury accommodations are relatively rare. If you want something quieter, consider the neighborhood of Del Abasto, south of the city center.
