Where to stay in Rosario

Crowding around the city center, most accommodations in Rosario sit within a few minutes' walk of the Parana River's west bank. Budget options remain plentiful in the central districts, with an array of hostels catering to Rosario's younger visitors. Boutique hotels offer something for mid-range travelers, while luxury accommodations are relatively rare. If you want something quieter, consider the neighborhood of Del Abasto, south of the city center.

  • Building ball of snow-Laprida 813 not has only a value by it aesthetic, but form part of the environment of the Plaza 25 of Mayo, one of the places more representative of the city. Although it only has six floors for a long time was the tallest building in the city. It was designed by the French architect Eduardo Le Monnier, who settled in Buenos Aires in the year 1896, having gone through Brazil and Uruguay where his works have been well-known. To order of the society of savings mutual "the ball of snow" builds a building in 1904 in the Capital Federal (that then was demolished). The same company then asks him to build one identical to the Rosario branch, so this is a replica of the former and was built in 1906. The intersection is determined in an important drum bordered of colonnades to mode of "Bandstand" with clear reminiscences of San Pietro of Bramante in Rome. The semicircular dome is closed as a sphere that resembles a "snowball". In a frieze located high and made with small mosaics still the company name can be read.
