  • Club Spanish-Rioja 1052 is an entity social of the community Spanish that has its origins in 1882 when a group of resident Spanish decides to found the Center Spanish. In 1912 while it is putting into operation the Spanish Hospital of the city, began to raise the present building which opened in 1916. The building follows the architectural lines of the catalan modernism. It is worth to observe the particular facade, the imposing staircase and the skylight that involves four levels of work and covers an area of 317 square meters for what is considered to one of the largest in Latin America. The stained glass windows are reasons Zoomorphic, anthropomorphic and heraldic. Handcrafted iron work and the use of tiles and mosaics are also notable. Through the years has been visited by characters illustrious of them lyrics (Federico Garcia Lorca, Belisario Roldán, Ramon Gomez of the Serna, Alberto Vaccarezza, etc), political (Joaquin V. Gonzalez), philosophers (as Jose Ortega and Gaset) and until by them Reyes of Spain in 1995. There is a café, bar and restaurant open to the public
