Wildlife Area Nature / Park
Admire the striking color of the water at Laguna Azul, a lake located within a dormant volcanic formation in Patagonia. Don't forget to bring a camera along, so you can take pictures of the contrast between the intense azure lake and the steep slopes of the volcano’s crater that surround it. Keep an eye out for various rare birds, including bandurrias and South American ibis, in the area. • Too long of a drive, for a natural sceene, that is nothing special. Dont waist your time....., and dont break your vehicle.  more »
  • Wild, out of the way and plenty of great wildlife… The crater is quite impressive, the colours and rock formations are a real stunner, well worth the 5km off route 3.  more »
  • It is worth renting a flight flying club Río Gallegos and from there touring the area of volcanoes including Blue Lagoon

  • It is a beautiful place that nature offers you to discover the mouth of a dormant volcano. A few meters from national route 3 to bring beautiful images of the area...

  • There's a little detail on the road so there is a chance big miss by this place amazing. In the middle of a desert of nothing, we find this beautiful place, water has an amazing color and stays in the crater of a dormant volcano

  • It is a very rare place and I like. The birds come to eat from your hand, you may spot ducks, swans, etc. Or explore the caves formed. There are many caulkers and fruits can be eaten in January or February. It is not recommended to make fire, because almost all the soil is organic matter and in some places until it is fluffy and appears to float. You must be careful when descending and the emerging demand much effort.

  • Beautiful and very quiet. For a walk cut and spend the afternoon.

  • Very nice. Important: go on sunny days so the lagoon will look blue.
