Laguna Azul, Rio Gallegos
(4.4/5 based on 110+ reviews on the web)
Admire the striking color of the water at Laguna Azul, a lake located within a dormant volcanic formation in Patagonia. Don't forget to bring a camera along, so you can take pictures of the contrast between the intense azure lake and the steep slopes of the volcano’s crater that surround it. Keep an eye out for various rare birds, including bandurrias and South American ibis, in the area. • beautiful place to enjoy an afternoon with mates, a dormant volcano and there watch from afar some pumita in the caves, there are no nearby facilities such as bathrooms, very natural.

  • a happy place, mirror of water in a small volcano, with the contrast of blue and the rocks. Does not have infrastructure, but it is a must-see place for lovers of wild nature!

  • That amazing place. An inactive volcano which over the years has turned into a beautiful pond. The path to the location is very quiet, as it is mostly paved, with only the last few metres of rípio. It is a very quiet place, without much movement. On the day we visited we didn't find anybody, just the pond, birds and guanacos.
