  • Peninsula Valdez is the most amazing place and you must go. The hotel is basic but just perfect for the surroundings. Leo our guide was great and his services were part of the hotel package. I can not...  more »
  • The Lighthouse is beautiful, but nothing amazing. What's more fun is to get close to lions and elephant seals. The ideal is to get close to noon and have lunch at the only restaurant there, because then you don't have to pay the tab. The first walk out at 12:30 h. So come, have lunch and go see the pets!

  • To the East of the peninsula Valdes is this lighthouse, all painted in red on the tip homonymous leaning towards the Atlantic Ocean. The real attraction is the lighthouse but the biggest colony of elephant seals located right on the beach below. Descend comfortably down the steps to get close to these animals that you drag in the beach with their clumsy movements. You will be fascinated by the colony of mammals that sometimes challenge each other standing with all their mole.

  • I was brought there by the tour agent on 28/9/17 for late lunch. I ordered fish in wrapping foil , mesh potatoes and beer. Fish tasted like chinese steam fish. Sublime ! Mesh Potatoes was creamy. The beer was expensive ! Half the fish price. Service was fast. Price is OK accept the beer. Pesca del dia/ Fish - 200 pesos Pure Papa/Mesh Potatoes - 90 pesos Cerveza/Beer - 100 pesos Servicio de Mesa/SVC charge - 20 pesos
  • The lighthouse at Punta Delgada consists of a small hotel and restaurant, located within the protected area in the peninsula of Valdez. Is an exclusive but not luxurious. Reserved and familiar at the same time.

  • Regarding the restaurant we feasted every meal there. The lamb to the PIN and the stew of lamb overnight were delicious. We have also tested other dishes which were very good. There is choice for wine. Only downside: the whole tourist buses arrive lunch to eat but there is always a table for guests of the hotel. The hotel has been created in a former barracks, the rooms are not very big but with the necessary comfort. There is a shared lounge with sofas, reading and hot drinks available. While electricity is cut a few hours a day and water is brackish, but it's a beautiful place close to the ocean, where is located a colony of elephant seals on the beach below. Sight to walk among them. The hotel staff is very welcoming and friendly and still more our guide Lio led us to do and to see beautiful things, day and night, taking in places (not) infrequent usually by tourists. A big thanks to him for his kindness and sharing his knowledge. It was a beautiful human encounter. Thanks also to the Manager of the establishment which late the day before our departure, moved heaven and Earth to fix a little problem transfer and flight schedule. We have great memories of those 2 days there and can only advise to take the time to spend a few days.

  • Lousy monopoly. While on honeymoon, we had a visit organized in Punta Tombo. After seeing the whales and sea lions first beached not far from the restaurant, the Guide leads us to this restaurant. Well, the advice is: DON'T BE FOOLED! The managers feel entitled to serve you the worst of the World animal around. We order a cordero who turns out to be the worst Crone ever eaten in my life. Even the chicken cutlets are revealed by a poor quality. Maybe it was more tasty insect swing in the salad, but didn't have the courage to obtain evidence for this witness. Luckily there was at least the Quilmes who gave a ray of sunshine at that table unclean! We order a tart and bring us a dulce de leche because it was what they had at that time: of course we prefer not to give "the temptation" of sugar. The price is roughly of €25 upside ... so we also tasted the taste of rip off! So the advice is to bring you a sandwich if your journey you bring in those areas.
