#1 of 14 in Things to do in Puerto Piramides
Visit Puerto Piramides for a range of ecotourism experiences in a protected coastal area, designated as a World Heritage Site for its ecological diversity. One of the premier whale-watching environments in the world, the bay was visited in 1972 by legendary oceanographer Jacques Cousteau, who studied the breeding patterns of right whales in the area. The whales, along with sea lions and Magellan penguins, can be spotted on a range of tours around the bay, on land and off. A small town of 500 people provides services for visitors to the reserve, with boat tours, snorkeling trips, and hikes around the coastal dunes starting and ending in the settlement. • of course due to its configuration the Bay of puerto pirámides welcomes many whales in this month of November observe them turns out more delicate first depending on the weather and wind maritime prefecture authorized or not out in sea the tour organizers and many are struggling to hold make them you you may be walked by an unscrupulous Organizer and wait the end of jouurnee for an outing that will perhaps see peeking a few tails of whales as long as you find on the right side of the overloaded boat and to have the finger on the decluc of the camera not convincing but a great business that makes the population of this village quite ugly and poorly run

  • The place is super in my view. A visually and atmospherically wicked mix from Alaska, La Gomera, North Sea and desert. A small colorful village on a Bay, slightly alternative chilled tinged with a lot of sand in the area. Many animal activities are offered. Whale-watching, snorkeling with sea lions tours to penguins, Orcas and Crabeater etc., The tours - also from 1,450 AR$ are not very favorable - but to recommend. Tip: you can see whales (whales) by the coast. During the day invading the day tourists where you can walk but well out of the way. Without monetary investment to 1 1/2 days spend just fine with walking/hiking. There are restaurants and a gas station. Just as an ATM. Caution: The ATM has the link system. Visakartenbesitzer can get (experienced in three German people and an Italian) problems with the Bargeldziehen! Possibly first try, if the credit card with two Argentine systems works - with cash cover otherwise in Puerto Madryn. All in all a super spot, to regenerate something on a tour of Argentina, if you stayed on the spot - otherwise in particular because of the Whalewatchingtouren an interesting destination of Puerto Madryn.
