Loberia de Punta Loma, Puerto Madryn
(3.9/5 based on 700+ reviews on the web)
The only permanent sea lion rookery in the Gulf of Nuevo, Loberia de Punta Loma gets you close enough to the animals for a good look at their behavior and--if you're lucky--the chance to meet some. You have many choices when it comes to getting there. If you go over land by road or across the dunes, expect to see the sea lions from above. You can also take a snorkeling tour to the area or a boat tour, and view the rookery from the water. Either way lets you get quite near to the creatures. If you come by water, some curious or playful sea lions may even want to introduce themselves. • It is a very well run hostel where you can see sea lions in their habitat. I was just had a lot wind but the Ranger was there to guide us. It would be excellent if there is no gravel to arrive.

  • It's impressive to see the size of these animals males are huge but don't hesitate to chase an intruder approaching too close to his harem they are a bit far to the naked eye but a paid bezel allows to better see the ballet of the birds is impressive cormorants, gulls, petrels, terns

  • Sea lions and birds can be seen from a couple of viewpoints at a great distance, but for this is preferable to do so in Valdes Peninsula. What if, this is the place for snorkeling with sea lions.
