Inspirock Rating:
3.9/5 based on 650+ reviews on the web
The only permanent sea lion rookery in the Gulf of Nuevo, Loberia de Punta Loma gets you close enough to the animals for a good look at their behavior and--if you're lucky--the chance to meet some. You have many choices when it comes to getting there. If you go over land by road or across the dunes, expect to see the sea lions from above. You can also take a snorkeling tour to the area or a boat tour, and view the rookery from the water. Either way lets you get quite near to the creatures. If you come by water, some curious or playful sea lions may even want to introduce themselves. • Seal colony within an ANP (national protected area), close to Madryn about 13 km, a little more than half of the road is gravel. In mid-September had very few wolves that are sighted from the top of a cliff, even more, we saw only one... Talking to the guardian fauna we mention not only of the small amount of wolves, but they were not coming to this beach and remained to 300 meters from there, so you are in a project to build a gateway to access this ¨nueva¨ location of the wolves. Anyway the views of cliffs and sea are very nice and there is an important colony of storm petrels.

  • Good place to see these animals and see the spectacular view of our sea. It is a place near puerto pirámides and already has best views you are in height. I liked.

  • It is obviously a close excursion that needs to be done from the Center and Madryn. The wolves are there and watching them from the top of the cliff. I at least didn't see much more
