La Aripuca, Puerto Iguazu

Familiarize yourself with the rich indigenous culture of the Guarani at La Aripuca. This cultural park serves as a tribute to the ancient Guarani tribes living in Argentina. A central pyramid-like structure designed in the shape of a bird trap (or arapuca) showcases the ingenious use of local resources to build important devices. Take a short guided tour to learn how the Guarani people created their tools, and what they used them for. You can buy genuine local handicrafts made by Guarani people at the park's souvenir stalls. For travelers who use our international travel planner, Puerto Iguazu holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the La Aripuca and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • Beautiful place, and a craft to GO CRAZY!! You have to be contained so as not to get out of there and the pants. Not that it's expensive, on the contrary, very cheap. But things are beautiful too, we want to buy everything! Candy, I thought just candy hibiscus jam is tasty. Wood jelly tastes even of wood, not like, overly sweet. Because of this even risked proving the ice cream, but the people in my group praised. Very nice hike, imperdíivel!!

  • We were passing and the truth was very nice. It tells the story of a loving family of the jungle who created this place to safeguard what little is left of the jungle. Cute to go, is a short walk.

  • A place trying to highlight the broad problem of rainforest deforestation. Mainly a combination of restaurants and gift shop. Entrance for foreigners costs 110 pesos. Okay to kill an hour if you don't have anything better to do or really love large tree trunks.
  • Very interesting tourist place. The biggest attraction that gives the local name "la aripuca" or trap is made with huge tree trunks reused the illegal trade. On site there is a small shop with local produce and other handicrafts. Have a snack bar offering a delicious juice.
