La Aripuca, Puerto Iguazu

3.7
Familiarize yourself with the rich indigenous culture of the Guarani at La Aripuca. This cultural park serves as a tribute to the ancient Guarani tribes living in Argentina. A central pyramid-like structure designed in the shape of a bird trap (or arapuca) showcases the ingenious use of local resources to build important devices. Take a short guided tour to learn how the Guarani people created their tools, and what they used them for. You can buy genuine local handicrafts made by Guarani people at the park's souvenir stalls. For travelers who use our international travel planner, Puerto Iguazu holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the La Aripuca and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

The location was in the script of the city tour, it's beautiful and has. but history if you're without city tour is not worth the stop.

It was a recommendation that we went and we were surprised. Not more than 3 kilometers of the Center faith Iguazu. Rustic constructions made with huge tree trunks. These were not cleared. They are fallen or the result of the predatory nature of the man. But you have to go. It is an hour ride. Also can see the rich and beautiful crafts. Also taste some delicious sparks in a small trade... the treatment of the guides is brief... as explained to each person or group to get. The place to visit is not very large. But it is a Pearl...

It is a very interesting place where works are made with trees trees that they have been recovered in the natural forest, plus there are references to the flora and fauna of the place.

I loved this place, it's quaint, lots to look at, nice people, products made by the natives from the area, short tour, short walk from a few hotels.

This is a huge replica of the Indian animal trap built in different species of very old trees. They have a restaurant and souvenirs and don't forget to try their mate ice cream and rosella ice cream!

Beautiful park! Aripuca in Portuguese means Trap, and has that name because they want to get the message that men when devastate nature are up to your own trap. Worth the visit and don't forget to taste the sweet wood and sweet chocolate milk! The value of the input and is selling the items in the shop is intended for maintenance of the Park is the sustainability of the local community.
