Hito de Las Tres Fronteras Argentina, Puerto Iguazu

3.4
#1 of 6 in Sightseeing in Puerto Iguazu
Landmark Tourist Spot
Set foot on the meeting point of three countries--Argentina, Paraguay, and Brazil--at Hito de Las Tres Fronteras Argentina. Marked by a monument, the tri-border area sits at the junction of the Iguazu and Parana rivers. The area has become a bit of a tourist trap, with plenty of gimmicky souvenir stalls and artisan markets. From your vantage point in Argentina, look out over the expanses of Brazil and Paraguay, perhaps the next destinations on your journey. Hito de Las Tres Fronteras Argentina is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our world travel planner, Puerto Iguazu Edition.

  • Yes you see Paraguay and Brazil from this Argentinian viewpoint. Interesting and quite nice, but not spectacular.  more »
  • I imagine this is 1 of the few parts of the world where you can see 3 countries at once. I came here in the evening and it was busy so hard to get a great photo of it. It's a pity a boat ride doesn't ...  more »
  • It is the place that 2 rivers separate Brazil-Argentina-Paraguay.Some little souvenirs shops around. If you go in the weekend after 8:00 pm they have a laser and water show. It is very pretty.  more »

  • The view is ok. Nothibg big compare to the falls nearby.
  • Really nice to visit and have a look of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay at the same time.
  • Not every day that you find yourself at the crossroads of three countries. Cool spot.
  • Okay place to go if you have time left in Puerto Iguazu. The view to Brazil and Paraguay is beautiful, but there isn't a lot to do. The souvenirs are expensive at this place.
  • Interesting to see but clearly not amazing
