Hito de Las Tres Fronteras Argentina, Puerto Iguazu

3.4
#3 of 46 in Things to do in Puerto Iguazu
Set foot on the meeting point of three countries--Argentina, Paraguay, and Brazil--at Hito de Las Tres Fronteras Argentina. Marked by a monument, the tri-border area sits at the junction of the Iguazu and Parana rivers. The area has become a bit of a tourist trap, with plenty of gimmicky souvenir stalls and artisan markets. From your vantage point in Argentina, look out over the expanses of Brazil and Paraguay, perhaps the next destinations on your journey. Hito de Las Tres Fronteras Argentina is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our world travel planner, Puerto Iguazu Edition.

Simpler than the Brazilian Landmark, however, has its charms. The attraction is free and has a beautiful view of the three countries. To take pictures, I believe it is more interesting to make the visit in the afternoon. At night you can see the light source and in particular time there is a song in which the lights and the accompanying waters the pace. There is also a shop where you can buy souvenirs and many sites selling their handicrafts. I suggest that be visited before the Brazilian Landmark that is more structured and tourism. I went through the City tour, but I believe the time on site should be increased so that the site and its beauties could be leveraged with ease

It is to go only to see, today there is a spectacle of light and sound that is made from 19: 30 hours and every half an hour. Consult pair housewives info on information to tourists. They have done a very nice promenade.

It's a nice walk. There are craftsmen very cool, you can see the three countries separated by the River Paraná and Iguazú. LSA authorities have made this trip a very comfortable place, it has banqitos to take a mate, and a sector where there is a water turbine very large that you return with a bit of drizzle and another sector where out jets of water on the floor, ideal for summer when it's hot and so children play.

Okay place to go if you have time left in Puerto Iguazu. The view to Brazil and Paraguay is beautiful, but there isn't a lot to do. The souvenirs are expensive at this place.

Really nice to visit and have a look of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay at the same time.

Not every day that you find yourself at the crossroads of three countries. Cool spot.

Landmark of the three frontiers. You can see Brazil and Paraguay on the other shores. There's a nice fountain and a artisanship market. If you are walking don't take the road on the right because it's too steep. Take the avenue instead.
