Guiraoga, Puerto Iguazu

(4.5/5 based on 1,300+ reviews on the web)
Pay a get-well-soon visit to recovering animals at Guiraoga. The sanctuary, located near the famous Iguazu Falls, nurses a range of wounded animals back to health, then prepares them for re-entry into the wild. You can see the adorable animals in their natural habitat on a guided tour around the sanctuary, which might be available in English, depending on your guide. Keep an eye peeled out for colorful toucans and parrots as you walk through the park. The money from your entrance ticket goes towards supporting the sanctuary's work. Add Guiraoga to your Puerto Iguazu travel itinerary, and discover new vacation ideas by using our Puerto Iguazu tour planner.

  • This visit it and a half surprised because it was more than expected actually. A game reserve (some endangered) worth seeing with guided tour that they emphasize awareness do not take animals out of their habitat. The journey takes 2 hours approx. It's worth a visit!

  • Güira Oga is an unforgettable place to visit with kids especially, to create awareness about the ecological chain, the mistreatment of animals and how we should care for the environment.

  • The attraction that's not bad, but is expendable. Not worth the price enter (almost the same price of the Iguaçu National Park!). Consists basically on a trip through the Woods until a truck trail where there are ponds with birds and other animals rescued from animal trafficking or who have been injured.

  • An excellent wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centre - the guides are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. I thoroughly recommend a visit, it's even possible to walk there and back from Puerto Iguazu (trust me, I did it!)

  • Excellent place! A place to imitate the world. Respect for the ecosystem and the conservation of the species is exemplary. The guide was very clear and demonstrated total management of which we explained. Totally recommended!
