Museo del Vino Bodega Graffigna, Province of San Juan

(4/5 based on 100 reviews on the web)
Supplement your Argentinian wine tour with a trip to Museo del Vino Bodega Graffigna. The museum provides a comprehensive background of the famed Graffigna winery, followed by a tasting session. Started by Italian immigrant Don Juan Graffigna in 1870, this bodega went on to play a very important part in the history of the province. It was responsible for increasing foreign commerce tenfold, long before the industry enjoyed such prosperity in San Juan. Pay special attention to the maintained original offices of the owners, dating back to the 19th century. Note that tours here are conducted in Spanish. • The Winery is located on the outskirts of the city of San Juan, although not too far from the downtown area. He is a guided, first showcasing a video with the history of the winery, then visit the recreation of a dig, an interesting Museum and finally they teach how to taste a wine and also performed two types of wine tasting. The visit was very interesting, very didactic guide, was very entertaining explanations and answered all the questions that you were. The visit lasted about 1 hour and is free of charge.

  • The visit is well armed, but compared to other wineries in production, this I did not like. As the person giving the talk, very complete. Least, the tasting with wines very basis (even for someone who is not a drinker of this product).
