  • The Ullum dam, is a front dam which forms an important water reservoir. The waters of the San Juan River Dam up. It is one of the hydroelectric works that bring power to the province. It is a barren, desolate, landscape which is not deprived of an own charm and great peace. Here I have to forgive the people of Tripadvisor and agencies offering excursions. I want to tell the travelers, that many beauties of our country do not require, sightseeing, guide, or auto. There is public transport. In each place, find out that landscapes are offered and which is how to get. I assure you that you can enjoy much, comes into contact with the community of the place and is very economical. This is one of those places, like the champagne Cavas de Zonda today off. Not only are you can learn so much in our country, but also in neighbouring countries. I reiterate my apologies if someone affection, and would appreciate if you post yet.

  • It is worth visiting it. It is about 20 kilometers from the city. We were on a bus of line, number 29, take you for Av. del Libertador, and drops you off right in the wall of the dam. On day of week, approximately makes it every 30 minutes. The landscape is beautiful, is located in a mountainous natural environment. Your view is very nice. There was no people because we were out of season. There is a kiosk that sells drinks and fast foods. There are also chemical toilets. Very nice pictures can be drawn.

Where to stay in San Juan

Within Av. Circunvalacion sits the main bulk of San Juan's places to stay. Plush, modern high-rises tower over the central neighborhood, while older, more traditional hotels line the edges of the main urban parks and plazas. Budget-friendly options come in the form of unassuming, converted residential blocks and rental apartments. If you head outside of the ring road, you'll have a choice between relaxing lodgings on the estates of local wineries, and a good selection of back-to-basics campgrounds.
