Bosque de Arrayanes, Province of Rio Negro

(4.4/5 based on 160+ reviews on the web)
Walk through a centuries-old forest at Bosque de Arrayanes, where a boardwalk winds between the cinnamon-colored and white-spotted trees. The arrayan trees are strange and almost otherworldly, with towering and twisted trunks and a surprising amount of branches blooming with white flowers and berries. Keep your eyes peeled for animals like pudu, the world's smallest deer species, as well as foxes, eagles, and Patagonian woodpeckers. Plan your visit to Bosque de Arrayanes and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Villa La Angostura vacation route planner.

  • Look for prices of boats! You can be walking back and forth but they are 24 km which although is very well signposted has its slopes by what a person without much training takes 4 hours a stretch. They suggest making the trip by boat and who wants to return to walking. Bring lots of water and if mesh is hot because there are places to get. Very expensive confectionery. (Can go with food). There are catamarans that are crowded or boats individual that van in others schedules of the catamaran by lower price, with guide and that enjoy the ride because the forest not is crowded of people and them speakers of the catamarans

  • We were in a pretty good Lake tour, with a guide who, unlike the of the boats of Bariloche, knew enough and knew how to explain it well, with environmental criteria. Forest and environment is unique, well signposted and attended. We took a picnic and tasted very expensive coffee at "the House" a great combination to then get back to bike or walk to Villa La Angostura
