Drive the undulating Door to the Andes (Cuesta Del Lipan), a scenic stretch of National Route 52. Starting in Purmamarca, the road winds through the rising slopes and ends in Abra de Porterillos at 4,170 m (13,680 ft) above sea level, before descending again to Salinas Grandes. As you drive on the paved road uphill, you see rock formations, including Cerro de los Siete Colores (the “Hill of Seven Colors”). Brave the hairpin turns amidst tall cacti and watch for llamas, ostriches, and other native animals along the way. From the viewpoint at the highest spot of the road, you'll see a panoramic vista of the vast salt mines below.   • Truth which is a unique way to think in very few places you'll reach the height to which arrive at the slope is a very adventurous trip I think vehicles arrive and can do it but one is which is tide is a unique path if you're adventurer you like curves the heights and see a path seldom wears don't wait do it! You'll love

  • It did from down in travel from the Salinas large. It really is a wonderful landscape (costs a lot describe it in words and photos do not do it justice). I think that is one of the points in which the enormity of them Andes you impacts more. TIPS: After many hours on the trip back and back down can be a bit... heavy. I usually have enough stamina haha but I felt slightly decomposed must confess. In that context I do own the advice they gave me: if they take excursion in micro/combie, sitting forward is the part that moves less. But, in Van, as I did.
