Costanera, Posadas
(4.7/5 based on 600+ reviews on the web)
Take a stroll by the Parana River on Costanera, the city’s picturesque waterfront. The avenue is over 8 km (5 miles) long and its tranquil atmosphere draws many pedestrians and cyclists. Along the length of the promenade you can find numerous restaurants, or bring your own food and pick a spot for a picnic. The promenade also offers views of the San Roque Bridge that spans the Parana River and connects Argentina with Paraguay. During the summer months, daytime temperatures may be too high for a pleasant walk, but the promenade becomes very lively after nightfall. With our custom trip planner, Posadas attractions like Costanera can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • I've been in Posadas, crossing only for the night, but I couldn't miss the dark at the edge of the Paraná River, in the famous Costanera, or beria. On the other side of the River, one can see the city of Encarnacion, in Paraguay, because they are border cities, separated by the Paraná River, the site is very frequented by locals for walking, and has wide sidewalks, benches to sit and "matear", and several restaurants along the promenade. Enjoy the moon on the Paraná River while dining in a restaurant overlooking the river is a good show.
