Catedral de Parana, Parana

An elegant architectural find, Catedral de Parana stands ornately white and detailed, preceding a city square. The eclectic Renaissance-style cathedral was built in 1885, with two twin towers of elaborate design, a blue outer dome, three interior naves, four bells in the belfry, six colonnades, and quatrefoil-shaped windows. An imposing statue of St. Peter greets visitors at the entrance, which leads to a simple interior filled with images of saints most revered by the community. An important symbol of local pride, the building was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1942. • This Cathedral is very nice, its dome and its interior is very important and impotent. Sunset is the best view since the thousands of birds that inhabit the square which is opposite flies over the property creating beautiful photos

  • A beautiful building with stained glass windows alluding to the mysteries of the Rosary. He was built towards the end of the 19th century, the then capital of the Confederación Argentina and fifth diocese in the country. It houses the historic image of our Lady of the Rosary, chosen as Patron Saint and considered founder of the city of Paraná who never had a date of Foundation.

  • The main square in every city cathedral is a classic. They liked the side altars, images, does not have the original Altar visited it in the morning and it caught my attention the lack of light, so it is not seen in its entirety. Very beautiful your external architecture.

  • It is located in the street S.S. Francisco (Ex Monte Caseros) between Urquiza and 25 de Mayo streets in front of the square on May 1. Eclectic style, the building has two towers and a dome, in the interior aisles and at the entrance a statue of San Pedro. It was declared national historical heritage, so it is matter of great pride for paranaense citizenship.
