Iglesia Catedral Neuquen, Neuquen

Categories: Churches, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
3.6/5 based on 120+ reviews on the web
Admire the power of simplicity at Iglesia Catedral Neuquen, the main Catholic cathedral at the heart of the city. Constructed in the mid 20th century, it features an unfussy red brick facade contrasted by a striking white bell tower. Head inside to observe the exposed brick and wood interior, surprisingly spacious with soaring columns and high stained glass windows. Look for the tomb of Don Jaime de Nevares, the first bishop of Neuquen. Arrange to visit Iglesia Catedral Neuquen and other attractions in Neuquen using our Neuquen tourist route planner.

  • Not me like, is it more ugly and cold that I have seen in the hundreds of places that have traveled. Walls, mosaic, scruffy exposed brick, an environment that does not invite to spend much time - the location is very good, the heart of Neuquén capital. Even the front of it is a temptation for the tourist.

  • I have gone many times to Neuquén and it is the first time that I entered the Cathedral, perhaps because the front of the building is not striking. But I took a surprise when entering, brick and wood inside is really fascinating. I highly recommend it.
