Villavicencio Spa, Mendoza

#2 of 7 in Spas in Province of Mendoza
Take in the panoramic view of peaks and valleys from the cream-colored mountainside chalet of Villavicencio Spa. The quaint spa and hotel have been closed for years, but the building and view it provides remain popular nonetheless. A hairy drive up a winding mountain road brings you to this scenic spot, but you may be more comfortable catching a ride with someone who knows the route. Bring your camera, as you'll pass many guanacos along the way. Don't forget snacks either, as the remote spot has no place to buy refreshments. • It is good to know in half-day or full day depends on the route that you want to do. It is a nature reserve, and you will reach the hotel which is printed on the label of the mineral water. They charge an entry and you can tour all the gardens of the hotel, etc. If you continue, you go by the famous way of 365 curves, which is an ancient route to Chile, in a beautiful landscape surrounded by cliffs, all for gravel will reach the picturesque village of uspallata. I recommend go with caution dangerous curves and places of precipices.

  • The famous hotel of the photo in the bottle of water... from Mendoza to the hotel through 50 km along a route that is in good condition, when you're reaching the hotel landscape and vegetation change, the place is beautiful, there is parking and bathrooms also to buy drinks. They charge you an entrance and a guide teaches you the place and tells you the story.

  • The visit surpasses expectations, the place is very beautiful, and definitely worth hearing the explanation of the place that was once a hotel, the small chapel of the place is very beautiful and interesting by painting and acoustics. The site also features a garden and a waterfall. You pay a fee to enter and do the tour, at the entrance there is a small café.
