Santuario de la Virgen de Lourdes, Mendoza
(4.2/5 based on 190+ reviews on the web)
Visit Santuario de la Virgen de Lourdes, a religious site with diverse architecture and a rich history. Just a small shrine to the Virgin Mary in the early 1920s, the site grew with the addition of a small chapel in 1926. When the chapel's size was deemed insufficient for the number of pilgrims arriving at the site, the modern amphitheater-style church was built. See the difference in scale and architecture between the two main buildings, and the number of statues of the Virgin Mary that believers ask for blessings. • This shrine is often visit when is goes to the Hill of the glory. I recommend it if it is that it is run, it is not the big thing. It supposed to be the largest in Latin America.

  • Never had heard talk of the place. Arrived attracted by the huge roof we spotted from the Cerro de la Gloria. A place with history, but it hits by the modernity of the temple and its large capacity (4000 seats!). Breathes spirituality, not feel like leaving.

  • I don't frequent too many churches, but this struck me by huge, its new design inspires you quiet, tranqui background music, actually: struck me. Very similar, saving the distances and the landscapes, the Evangelist Church of currents at 4000 in BsAs. This is beautiful.
