In fact, it's a full-scale replica of the original in Buenos Aires, designed by prominent sculptor Jose Daumas. A plaque informs visitors that they are currently 747 m (2,450 ft) above sea level. • Compared to the other places in the area (Spain, Italy, Chile) is the one that least highlights of them. In the Center there is a statue of the General José of San Martín which is a replica of which is located in the homonymous square in the area of retirement. Beyond that, there is no more to highlight it. If take into account that on one side is the Basilica of San Francesco where the baton of San Martin, in addition to the remains of his daughter Mercedes, his son-in-law Mariano Balcarce and her granddaughter María Mercedes.
