  • I never felt so disappointed to visit a Museum, that of San Martín, all you need is the name I think, really a grout furniture and uniforms of times several donated by people of Mendoza and other latitudes, some allegedly belonging to the Gral. and I say allegedly because I can not believe in the State who are exposed. Unfortunately catalogued with corrector white on the same unit or item. Those few salons identified with posters of paper made with printers of matrix's point, that not is used more. No guides, no references serious, just who was the donor. Is really shameful that in the land chosen by the Gral .for organizing his gesta epic not care its history as is deserves.

  • Enter the Museum and go it is the first step to come out of it with a mixture of sadness, shame, anger and others. The place possesses valuable objects (for example, the kit that San Martìn led during the crossing of the Andes) but are preserved in very bad condition, without any kind of maintenance or protection against the passage of time and the visitors. Soon as we enter, we see a place semi abandoned, full of moisture and smells of fried foods. Apart from a welcome not suitable for a museum that deserves another magnitude, do not have cash to give us returned, and other things, the day of our visit took place a short electric that we had the back room of the museum visit. Beyond that, what are left without observing surely has the same characteristics of what if we could see: a tour where objects are neglected, where there is no one would be history, not cited sources that justify a story fairly criticised revisionist historical, and often pictures, tapestries and objects do not directly have reference. Flags and curtains dirty plug holes and dangerous for visitors stairs. When one enters can read a letter from a reader of course in which he complains, as is the guy who did us opened, not to receive State funds for its maintenance. It should be noted that the same is carried forward, so to speak, by the Association of the ladies Pro Gloria Mendoza, who judging by the State of the same little care about the place. It paradoxically, is that the complaint more strange results when one observes in the side Gallery of the Museum pictures "collage" of the President of the Asociaciòn in which there are images of San Martin together former Governor Julio Cleto Cobos and the current Cornejo. Ultimately, a place for nothing advisable, should find a way to keep better heritage containing.

  • Sadly, the State of the Museum and its unique pieces of icalculable from the historical and patrimonial value. The authorities have the must be moral to improve their status. Incredible. I cannot find words.

  • The ladies pro gloria Mendoza are more anxious to show his drawings and bullshit as well having the Museum. After my visit to this pass by the foundational area Museum. There I spoke with a guide who told us that from its Museum is offered several times to help them put it in conditions but they refuse. They do not maintain it or get help. A pity. Not worth a go

  • The historical elements that contains are relics of our national history, unfortunately are not sorted or displayed with the attraction they deserve. Poorly lit, the references written in small print, no guide or protection for antiques. It preserves the image of the Virgin of the Carmen who accompanied the army of the Andes... Mixed with objects without nomination 🤔😐😑

  • It can not be considered a Museum, is in very poor condition. a total disaster

  • I acknowledge publicly the Association of ladies PRO GLORIA Mendoza's status and attendance of this museum. It is a shame that what belonged to the main hero of our homeland, Gral. SAN MARTIN, are in the hands of people who do not value the historic heritage concerned. Both the provincial and the municipal Government should take cards in the matter.

Where to stay in Mendoza

As the center of Argentina's wine industry, Mendoza offers plenty of conventional hostel and hotel options, as well as a good selection of short-term apartments for rent. Visitors taking language courses or spending several weeks on the wine route usually snatch these early in the tourist season (which lasts from mid-December to late-February), so it's a good idea to do some research and contact the owners before you arrive. Keep in mind that some of the town's hostels only offer beds to guests signed up for their wine tours.
