Destroyed by an earthquake in 1861, the remains of the building are preserved in a chamber in the museum. View objects from colonial times, photographs, models, and dioramas that tell the history of the city. The museum also houses exhibits of local artists' paintings and sculptures, as well as interesting old weapons, maps, and other objects.
