Mercado Central, Mendoza

(190+ reviews on the web)
Farmers Market Flea Market
Stock up on groceries at Mercado Central, a vibrant, colorful city center market with oodles of premium meat, fish, and green produce under one roof. A wide variety of pork, chicken, fish, and beef make up a significant portion of the stalls, and nothing goes to waste: customers can choose anything from entrails and intestines to the more conventional cuts. If, however, the sight of whole gutted animals hanging upside down might upset you, steer clear. Plan your visit to Mercado Central and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Mendoza tourist route planner.

  • The food here was pretty cheap. There are several restaurants, as well as places where you can buy meat or other groceries.
  • Excellent place to buy gifts, found excellent quality chocolate and eat cheap. The only problem was the very small size.
  • Great place to find food and ingredients you can't find elsewhere in Mendoza, like the stuff to make sushi.
  • I can't believe that the main market in Mendoza didn't have basic international staples like Mexican tortillas or Asian options. Great local products but they really need to step up their game! Por favor! Tienen que vender tortillas mexicanas y mas opciones asiáticas.
  • few shop but great restaurants with little prices
