Memorial de la Bandera, Mendoza
(3.9/5 based on 190+ reviews on the web)
Feel the national pride inspired by Memorial de la Bandera, a memorial complex in the heart of Mendoza. Walk through the open air plaza, admiring a sculpture of an angel by a local artist, a water fountain, and ornamental light fixtures. The main artifact held here is an original flag carried by the Army of the Andes during the nationalist battle to free the region from colonial control. Watched over by a guard, the flag represents the central part of this reverential, and somber, tribute to the battles won and the lives lost in the country's quest for freedom. Before you head to Rosario, plan trip itinerary details with our user-friendly Rosario family vacation planner, to make sure you see all that Rosario has to offer, including Memorial de la Bandera.

  • Very good illustrative video of the place... I liked the explanation given by the guides I think little teaching.

  • Middle space, respect the past militarized, where you cannot take pictures. Quick tour, made by army soldiers. Wide green area around.

  • For them lovers of the history San this is a stop compulsory since here is is the flag of the army of the Andes. The same can be seen in all its glory, guarded by a Grenadier. Its entrance is free and you can also see a commemorative documentary in a small theater and two banners of war obtained by General San Martín.
