  • Many hotels in Mendoza would recommend a lunch at Bodega La Azul while doing The Valley de Uco wineries route. We fell into the trap and had a three hour lunch, slow service, mediocre food and chairs ...  more »
  • Very welcoming, family Bodega where the owner sits with us and makes all the historical presentation of the bodega and wine while we do the tasting. It was a shame we don't have lunch there.

  • Amazing lunch with great wines
  • A relaxed and friendly place. The attention of the owner was the best! He has great pride for your vineyard, and is all right. And the wines are very good by this small Winery! Open for lunch daily, reservation required. Highly recommended!

Where to stay in Mendoza

As the center of Argentina's wine industry, Mendoza offers plenty of conventional hostel and hotel options, as well as a good selection of short-term apartments for rent. Visitors taking language courses or spending several weeks on the wine route usually snatch these early in the tourist season (which lasts from mid-December to late-February), so it's a good idea to do some research and contact the owners before you arrive. Keep in mind that some of the town's hostels only offer beds to guests signed up for their wine tours.
