Playa Bristol, Mar del Plata

(1/5 based on 120+ reviews on the web)
A popular beach in the heart of the city, Playa Bristol can be seen packed with people during the day, filled with hundreds of neatly arranged shade tents and umbrellas. Several boulevards hug the beachfront featuring monuments, historical buildings, and tall hotel apartments towering over the shoreline. The beach gently continues for 2 km (1.2 mi) and provides picturesque panoramic views. The ocean features a small shore break with moderately clean waters but unfortunately it is common to find litter scattered along the shore. Playa Bristol is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our international travel planner, Mar del Plata Edition.

  • The agglomeration of people is total, is live with street vendors, those who go begging and if you don't give them they insult you, you got that look after your belongings the guys who you tread, you throw sand, no shade, very expensive umbrellas and tents that are more expensive than rental of an apartment, dirty restrooms, few baskets always full. Don't arrive to stay 1 hour in place, but it looks that there are people like that...

  • As the title, a place to go once and know says. When is thinks in sea of the silver, naturally is the beach by where one wants to begin their days of rest, curious word this last because, honestly, is it last that got going to this beach. Perhaps those who are more accustomed to see it otherwise, but to enjoy something I need space, thing that there is very difficult to achieve. People are piled up and walk - sometimes literally - among your things and take you over sand. The sound is similar to a shopping mall, and never missing that takes a speaker to put your music. Although sometimes it can be good to put him wave, when you want to relax, this is not the place to go. The location of the beach is excellent, since it is in the Centre and at short walking distance because you're there; the problem is that this location attracts the vast majority of people, and we return again to the problem of overpopulation. There are public baths, but I wish you good luck to whom urja enter, since you always have to make large queues. Being a person who does not suffer particularly cold, I found it so cold water as they say; However, I know people that prefer waters much more warm that which here is found (and me included). Not to mention the places 'private' on a beach, I always thought that inconceivable. In terms of prices, it was not particularly excessive. As any tourist place, paid the things a bit more expensive than normal. But nothing to add regarding this topic. Anyway, as I said above, who are used or like large crowds, or is not so "fussy" with its space, is will be an ordinary beach where not going to go wrong. Clarification: the journey was made in January 2016, but it does not allow me to select that month.
