  • The Park place is beautiful and seems to transport to another world. The House nestled among trees planted in the 40, dissolves in the geography. Guided tours, of the municipality of Mar del Plata are excellent. Interesting, complete and committed to the conservation of the place and its valuation. Worthy to enjoy and to learn from the history of the city.

  • In the year 1915 concluded litigation inheritance upon the death of the engineer Emilio Mitre, owner of the farm bounded by Matheu, Rodríguez Peña, Dorrego and St. John streets, this is acquired by Matilde de Anchorena, who turns it into a large forested Park. In the year 1942, at public auction, the Williams family buys the first hectare of this farm, bounded by the streets Matheu, Quintana, Olazabal and the railroad tracks. In this area was built a residence study to Alberto Williams and his spouse Irma Paats (House on Brook) or House of the bridge, and another House on the next block for Mario Williams, son of Albert, where the family spent seasons. In 1948 they annexed the second hectare, bounded by the streets Funes, routes of the railway, Saavedra and Quintana; that currently complement the environment of the House. The House on Brook, commonly known as 'Bridge House', was designed and carried out under strict supervision by the architect Amancio Williams between 1943 and 1945 (with the collaboration of his spouse, architect Delfina Galvez Bunge), responding to the request of his father Alberto Williams. It was located on the Brook Las Chacras, founding watercourse of the city of Mar del Plata, that for reasons of sanitation, in 1957 interrupted in the sector which includes the farm house on the Arroyo.Esta work represents the creation more bold period (1930 / 1950). It is an ambiental-arquitectonico set consisting of a historical Park of unique features including a main house and a service Pavilion. Both constructions are still the lineament of nature, in correspondence with logical and mathematical criteria. The building is located in an exceptional context, a land crossed by the basin Creek, which divides it in two. House concrete the union of the two margins of the same, being located on the site leading trait. Enriched by European Oak Park retains, however, aspects of the wild landscape of pampas; its scale has similarity to the pampeano forest mountain. The structure of this sculpture synthesize almost abstract geometric forms and its three-dimensional architecture works as an integral harmonic set. Alberto Williams Creole vision about the cultural value of the Argentinean native music, has an equivalent in the vision of his son Amancio Williams in relation to architecture. The interior of this House is of linear type, environments are developed around stairs that divide the public spaces and private service, referring to the typical "casa chorizo", traditional home of the city of Buenos Aires at the end of the 19th century. From his experience as an engineer, he chose as main material reinforced concrete, which is 94% of the work. Their facades were martelinadas (the 'work is used to leave a rough finish on the surface of concrete) and chemically treated to expose the wealth of the surface. The living space of the main plant, raised to the height of the cup of the immediate trees that surround it, is linked to the outside through a continuous window, a compositional display that allows Visual at 360 °. This feature integrates nature in all premises of the musical vivienda-estudio.
