Gruta de Lourdes, Mar del Plata

(4.4/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web)
Simple yet filled with character, Gruta de Lourdes features a prominent statue of the Virgin Mary, surrounded by inscriptions placed there by believers. Set back from the road in a recessed area of delicately arranged stones, the shrine is a replica of the famous Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes in France. Constructed in 1937, the site is a touching, humble tribute to a much grander work, and part of a complex of other religious sites replicated from other famous international places of worship. • The grotto of Lourdes is locked in a place high of it city of sea of the silver, has all a grotto with the replica of the city of Jerusalem all tech, is actually a city in miniature, their bridges, people, animals, houses, lighting etc. are a replica of the same. Place a flan in that part of the city one wants it copper movement and this happens. This show wonder to young and old, you should not miss it.

  • It really is worth being visited, either being a place religious, as the 11/2 is the day of our Lady of Lourdes Novena and the 11 day are made, masses at various times, in his honor. But if you want to participate or one professes the religion, also is not a site that is worth seeing, whether it be by the structure, the grotto, and for children it is recreated with dolls that move by means of tabs that are bought, the highlights in the life of Jesus.

  • Catholics who visit mar del plata would have to know this place. Much peace, very cute. If you go with children you are going to love the city of Bethlehem.

  • Beautiful place, with a fantastic view. Looks like a set of film. I am an atheist, however it is a very nice place to meet. It has a huge model where guys can make the characters move, sound songs or activated different things by adding chips, my daughter was fascinated him. Cute place.
