Estatua de Astor Piazzola, Mar del Plata

Categories: Monuments, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
3.2/5 based on 70+ reviews on the web
Give a nod to a major figure in tango and traditional Argentinian music at Estatua de Astor Piazzola. The statue pays tribute to the eminent tango arranger and composer Astor Piazzolla, whose instrument of choice was the bandoleon--a wind instrument that resembles an accordion. Pay special attention to the intricately carved details on the instrument itself, sculpted as if Piazzolla himself was in motion. Spend some time relaxing on the picturesque plaza or by the fountain when you go. • The location surrounding is lush and draws a lot of attention, near the beach, famous casinos nearby, has the trucks/buses that make the tourist ride through town up ahead. But the monument, was dirty, not sprayed, but need a better cleaning. Since this is a beautiful tribute, should give better attention.
