Explore the dark caves ofthe city when you take a tour through Caverna de Las Brujas. The caves cover an area of 4.5 square km (2.8 square mi), although only the front few hundred meters are open to tourists. To enter the caves, you must have a guide who will provide you with helmets and lights. Expect to witness spectacular limestone formations like stalactites, stalagmites, water galleries, and huge, echoing halls. As you explore under ground, watch for the spiders and springtails that have made the caverns their home. Bats and mice also sometimes reside in the caves.
