ZOO Lujan, Lujan

(3.4/5 based on 3,400+ reviews on the web)
Pundits remain strongly divided about ZOO Lujan, often referred to as the "extreme petting zoo" or the "world's most dangerous zoo." Fans rave about the experience of getting up close to, and even touching, some of the world's most dangerous and majestic predators, especially lions and tigers. Animal rights activists slam the attraction, accusing staff of drugging the animals to make them more placid during their interactions with visitors. If you do decide to visit, take extreme care and remember to treat the animals with respect. For travelers who use our world travel planner, Lujan holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the ZOO Lujan and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • Zoo lujan is 58 km away from buenos aires and all tours for you and transfer you pay 200 per person and have the opportunity to enter the cage of a lion, give milk to their young, it has a very diverse fauna of beautiful animals feels unbelievable.

  • It's fascinating that you can get that close to wild animals such as lion, Tiger and bear other ... the visit gave impressive and memorable photos ... on the one hand is very beautiful but on the other ... to think about how animals are treated to stay calm "doped" so we can get close and pet them is sad.

  • This assessment is not based on questioning that animals are doped or not, and nor was made to change your opinion about zoos, animals in cages, etc. It's very simple cost-benefit-based: not worth even. The agencies in charge of about 800 the BA 1000 pesos for this tour justifying that are 75 km of travel, etc. We took the subway and buses (about 130 pesos). The entrance of the Zoo was 400 pesos ($ 80.00 in the quote we got), relatively expensive, and there is no infrastructure or for visitors or for animals. The cages are great, but everything looks improvised, with remains of wood and bars, the Recycle Bins are not cleared, in part where the deer runs a "stream" that actually has more mud than anything else, and the animals drank water, the part that has the Diners also leaves something to be desired and the bathrooms too. With this value of ticket, certainly could be done, if only gradually, as only the lure into the cages and take pictures with animals don't compensate for the ride. P.s.: animals have beautiful stories that could be incorporated into the ride.
