ZOO Lujan, Lujan

(3.6/5 based on 3,400+ reviews on the web)
Pundits remain strongly divided about ZOO Lujan, often referred to as the "extreme petting zoo" or the "world's most dangerous zoo." Fans rave about the experience of getting up close to, and even touching, some of the world's most dangerous and majestic predators, especially lions and tigers. Animal rights activists slam the attraction, accusing staff of drugging the animals to make them more placid during their interactions with visitors. If you do decide to visit, take extreme care and remember to treat the animals with respect. For travelers who use our world travel planner, Lujan holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the ZOO Lujan and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • It is a good choice to spend a nice day in family. The Park is large and can take a lot, animals are well maintained (could be better, in larger places... If)

  • Good family plan to spend a day outdoors. It has areas to eat or to sit down to rest and sunbathe. It has rather approach to entering the life of animals which is not so bad. The entry seems a bit expensive considering that children pay from 3 years.

  • A zoo that you have contact with animals, you can feed them, take pictures. It also has a collection of cars, antique tractors. I've been there twice and liked it very much.

  • Great zoo! Small, but the interaction we have with animals is priceless!!! Before going, I heard that animals were sedated, but that's not true!!! They are raised in the zoo since they're babies and are used with people. There are even dogs living in the tiger and lion cages as they grew up together!!! This zoo is definetely a MUST SEE!!!! No where else you'll have this amazing interaction!
  • I went there to find out what's about it. No zombie animals, no dirty cages, no bad treatment, chains or anything like that. There is a lot of explaining of how the animals get so docile, but it's hard to buy. Confusing, but a lovely unique experience.
  • See it for yourselves. You get to have once in a lifetime experiences.
  • very nice. its a bit far from buenos aires the city but it worth the ride!
  • The baby animals, the interaction, the people and environment, simply awesome
