Forget wineries bells as Catena. Are always crowded and have to book with 25 days in advance. The Septima is not known by many, but has an important production. There are Premium wines very good and the service is friendly. I won some gifts because of my purchases and the value of my tasting was not charged. Very good.

Great service and wonderful views from the vineyard and restaurant. Knowledgable wine tour guides with beautiful architecture. Wines were quite reasonable too.

The seventh installation of a Spanish wine conglomerate - housed on a vast property, but somewhere between industrial and boutique production. A four course tasting lunch comes with paired wines and nice balcony views.

Where to stay in Mendoza

As the center of Argentina's wine industry, Mendoza offers plenty of conventional hostel and hotel options, as well as a good selection of short-term apartments for rent. Visitors taking language courses or spending several weeks on the wine route usually snatch these early in the tourist season (which lasts from mid-December to late-February), so it's a good idea to do some research and contact the owners before you arrive. Keep in mind that some of the town's hostels only offer beds to guests signed up for their wine tours.
