Bodega Roberto Bonfanti, Lujan de Cuyo

4.9
#15 of 47 in Wineries in Mendoza
Wine enthusiasts love Bodega Roberto Bonfanti, a small vineyard owned and run by four generations of the Bonfanti family. In a world of large-scale producers, this winery remains something of an anomoly. Take a guided tour--usually given by the owners--for an informative first-hand visit. Sample the excellent wines on offer here, where the production of just 4,000 cases a year means unparalleled quality control. Some companies offer guided horseback tours that stop off at this attraction. See Bodega Roberto Bonfanti and all Mendoza has to offer by arranging your trip with our Mendoza trip itinerary maker.

We went to wineries Bonfanti on the recommendation of connoisseurs of wines. The ride lasts approximately 1 1/2 hours, is free of charge and then you can buy wines, preserves and olive oil at good price. We arrived at the winery on Sunday around 1 pm, we were welcomed by one of the owners who guided us on the tour, explained the process of creating and guardian. Finally made us a tasting of 3 delicious wines while they explain how a wine is taken as purchased a according to what the label says and how to combine it with different meals. Very cute educational trip for our palate. Go! They will not regret it.

In July 2017 made a visit to bodega Bonfanto. We were in 05 people and we were welcomed by the founder's grandson Sebastian. He was very attentive and described in detail the process of harvesting and manufacturing. Although the bodega is small, the opportunity to ask questions directly to one of the family members made the visit. We recommend very

Although smaller, excellent reception and tasting. The winemaker that we received is also agronomist, and we took many questions. Very good. We buy also olive oil that they produce. You do not need a reservation to visit.

Where to stay in Mendoza

As the center of Argentina's wine industry, Mendoza offers plenty of conventional hostel and hotel options, as well as a good selection of short-term apartments for rent. Visitors taking language courses or spending several weeks on the wine route usually snatch these early in the tourist season (which lasts from mid-December to late-February), so it's a good idea to do some research and contact the owners before you arrive. Keep in mind that some of the town's hostels only offer beds to guests signed up for their wine tours.
