Bodega Roberto Bonfanti, Lujan de Cuyo
(4.9/5 based on 90+ reviews on the web)
Wine enthusiasts love Bodega Roberto Bonfanti, a small vineyard owned and run by four generations of the Bonfanti family. In a world of large-scale producers, this winery remains something of an anomoly. Take a guided tour--usually given by the owners--for an informative first-hand visit. Sample the excellent wines on offer here, where the production of just 4,000 cases a year means unparalleled quality control. Some companies offer guided horseback tours that stop off at this attraction. • In October, we are advised by our hotel owner to Roberto Bonfanti for a tour with wine tasting. We got the tour of the only English-speaking son of the family (Alejandro), also the wine maker within the company. His passion and good explanation, as well as his low-threshold approach, dragged us into the world of wine at Bonfanti. The estate was splendid. The company lies in the middle of the vineyards, which makes for beautiful views. Everything was clean and perfectly maintained. During the tasting of the wines, we were surprised by the tasteful choices Bonfanti. The three wines we tasted, showed that each wine depends on different factors (such as the climate and the process). Alejandro has very good explanation given here. Even the wines tasted so delicious, that we have purchased a bottle for home. During our stay we have 6 wineries visited. Bonfanti was our favorite. Highly recommended!

  • A family boutique winery. A brother is winemaker, the other is dedicated to marketing. They make very rich wines which can be tasted in the visit. Buy a box because they are of very good quality of export

  • Was excellent the service of Mr. Alejandro, received us very well and provided an excellent explanation of the wines, vineyards and the processes. It was perhaps the best experiences among the bodegas I was in Mendoza.

  • Boutique run by the family winery. Great way to learn how the non-industrial wood wine is produced. If you do the ruta del vino Bonfanti can not miss.
