Bodega Norton, Lujan de Cuyo

4.2
#10 of 46 in Wineries in Mendoza
Winery / Vineyard Food & Drink
Try the wines and learn more about the history of Bodega Norton, the first Bodega to open south of the Mendoza River by English engineer Mr. Edmund J. P. Norton. The winery's tour is unusual as they allow visitors to try wines at every stage of the process from stainless steel tank, to oak barrel, to the bottled final version, an unprecedented window into the process of vineyards. Aspiring wine tasters and makers should also try lessons on blending during the tour, offered as an additional activity. It couldn't be easier to arrange your visit to Bodega Norton and many more Mendoza attractions: make an itinerary online using Inspirock's Mendoza vacation route planner.

Where to stay in Mendoza

As the center of Argentina's wine industry, Mendoza offers plenty of conventional hostel and hotel options, as well as a good selection of short-term apartments for rent. Visitors taking language courses or spending several weeks on the wine route usually snatch these early in the tourist season (which lasts from mid-December to late-February), so it's a good idea to do some research and contact the owners before you arrive. Keep in mind that some of the town's hostels only offer beds to guests signed up for their wine tours.

  • We've been to a lot of wineries all over the world, and this one is at the top of the list. Fantastic tour, unique setting, beautiful views. Staying for lunch is a MUST - so delicious.
  • We Had A Great Tour With Zaida Alvarez! Back on Thursday, February 9, 2017, I finally had the opportunity to visit Bodega Norton in which I have waited almost three (3) years to see and I guess the wait was Well Worth It! We saw the whole winemaking process which included their fermentation area, where they store the wine in the barrels, the laboratory and even where they pack up the bottles and get them ready for shipment. At the very end of the tour, we got to taste their wines! Please Note: Their Wines Taste Good! I personally want to Thank Zaida Alvarez for the Fantastic Tour! I also want to personally Thank Daniel Sanchez and Antonella Levis for Taking Me Out Here And Joining Me For The Tour!
