El camino del monte Zeballos forma parte de la ruta provincial 41, que va desde Los Antiguos hasta la ruta nacional 40, unos 10 km al norte de Bajo Caracoles. Es imprescindible informarse del estado d... more »The road to mount Zeballos is part of provincial route 41, ranging from the old national route 40, about 10 km north of Bajo Caracoles. It is essential to inform state of the route before, since depending on the weather the road may be impassable or walkable. Areas of stones loose, of clay, or have it make complicated for cars common. But beyond this are landscapes, starting with a viewpoint of the whole area of Los Antiguos, with the framework of the Buenos Aires Lake, the Jeinimeni River and up to the Andes, with the distant presence of the Castle Hill, in Chile. Then areas of steppe, mountain forests and a lunar landscape are exchanged at the highest point, el Portezuelo, immediate neighbor to mount Zeballos. From here in days of heaven clear or with clouds high is can see towards the South it face north of the Monte San Lorenzo. From the pass the road begins to lower and the landscape returns to convert is in the plateau Patagonian, each time more marked as us are going to the this. After the detour for the border crossing Roballos you reach fork which allows follow Lake Posadas or walk up to the junction with Route 40. For this last option, you reach Lakes column and Ghio, who in windless days can show perfect reflections of the landscapes that surround them. Vimos vario... more »It is a path that can be made with a high car although non-4 x 4, all the way is an incredible ride! colors, different landscapes, wildlife, is simply something to do!. We saw several condors flying over the road, guanacos, rheas, a tatu. There is a place with a few rock formations which is beautiful.View original
