Trip Planner: South America / Argentina / Cuyo / Province of Mendoza / Las Heras / Wildlife / Reserva Natural Villavicencio
Immerse yourself in the Andes' untouched nature at Reserva Natural Villavicencio. Best known as the source of the famous Villavicencio mineral water, this 62,000 hectare (153,200 acre) reserve remains dedicated to the preservation of Andean biodiversity, as well as its paleontological and historical heritage. In addition to water, the reserve features endless mountain views and an abundance of indigenous species ranging from cacti to condors. Explore by yourself, or in a guided group. Take a tour of the historical onsite hotel, once one of the most exclusive in Argentina. While at the reserve, don't miss the chance to try some of the local wines and specialties, like raw ham sandwiches. Plan your visit to Reserva Natural Villavicencio and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Las Heras travel itinerary planner.

Bring food and drink since it is very expensive to buy on the premises that have. The hotel at the moment is in repair. The media surrounding still neglected. We got on the trail of the snail. Driver must be confident since the ascent is quite complicated, important to know this already that no one warns it yourself. Up it gets hazy and you hardly see the road. It is worthwhile since you go up to 3,100 meters! Shocking. We saw flames and also a Fox as down. At the end of the tour it tells you how to return through Uspallata,

No se puede cobrar lo que cobran para recorrer un bosque y ver un viejo hotel por fuera, un abuso. A mi gusto hasta la puerta. more »You cannot charge what they charge to traverse a forest and see an old hotel on the outside, an abuse. To my taste to the door.

A video and a small talk, then to walk down a short path in circle. This is you can do without. Above is the hotel. Leaving the vehicle in the parador (which definitely have to do without, since charge you as a good restaurant with bad food and bad attention), arrives to a deserted, walled structure that we assume will have been so nice hotel that we spoke. They can go a few pathways with pools and breaks, of course, neglected. This can also be omitted. Only recommend to go to Villavicencio if they want to climb along the path of the snail to reach Uspallata. It is a beautiful mountain road where will see beautiful landscapes, surely will see guanacos and perhaps some snow. Aside, if you decided to pay for the reservation and felt cheated, here will have a slight incentive since will not charge any fees.

Maximiliano BrizuelaThe place is charming... the hotel is closed and can only be visited on the outside, the Chapel and the beautiful gardens. There is a guided tour that gets you in the history of Villavicencio. Eat at the shelter are charming and rich but a bit excessive prices.
Daniel OjedaVery nice space to the contact of the precordilleran nature. Data to take into account: the visit you can pay with debit or credit apart from the form cash and they offer without having to pay. Which elsewhere is not the case.
Nicolas Diego AcciardiWhen I went were reshaping it, could not enter the hotel, but all there is very nice to explore. Very good attention. Highly recommended.
