Playa Piedras Coloradas, Las Grutas

Beach Nature / Park
Wide and shallow stretches of sand alongside jagged Precambrian rock formations set a peaceful and tranquil scene at Playa Piedras Coloradas. While nearby beaches attract a noisy hostel crowd, this beach offers its own beach library where you can borrow a book, sit back, and read with the soothing sound of the waves in the background. The red rocks that dot the beach are more than five million years old, and provide ample opportunity to go hunting for fossils and petrified oysters. The shallow beachfront also attracts sandboarders- rent a board here and try it yourself. • to reach this beach you got that go down a road of gravel that obvious that it has grounds, the ideal would be that they blaze it. It is a beach to spend a time nothing more observe the landscape of red rocks take some mates, etc water a little cold. few people not so much as the downhill from the Centre. If you're in your car, obviously you can stay as long as you want. then there is an excursion that goes through there also and they are a time and make culopatin in the dunes, this very good

  • It is an excellent place to enjoy the beach with something of less amount of people which are located several kilometers from the center of Las Grutas, attractive are these huge rocks red that they are its beaches which serve also as entertainment for the kids and great since they are easy to climb, the place is surrounded by sand dunes and the sea is something more open and with something of more waves than in The caves.

  • For me it is the best beach of Las Grutas. Fine sand, shelter from wind, parador, umbrellas with straw, extensive beaches and few people. Bad, very bad, there are no lifeguards.
