Playa Piedras Coloradas, Las Grutas
(4.1/5 based on 170+ reviews on the web)
Wide and shallow stretches of sand alongside jagged Precambrian rock formations set a peaceful and tranquil scene at Playa Piedras Coloradas. While nearby beaches attract a noisy hostel crowd, this beach offers its own beach library where you can borrow a book, sit back, and read with the soothing sound of the waves in the background. The red rocks that dot the beach are more than five million years old, and provide ample opportunity to go hunting for fossils and petrified oysters. The shallow beachfront also attracts sandboarders- rent a board here and try it yourself. • Beautiful beach, beautiful stones. A good place, formerly desert, now too populated even if season still can be seen

  • Very moved and removed the water appeal are the stones but hinder access to the water is the sea between them, gravel road in good condition, there are no lifeguards in the area

  • Tea found with a vast extension of beach where you can walk with peace of mind, the beach is surrounded by a cliff of red rocks, very quiet, excellent type to rest
