  • Park El Chiflón is located on route 150 approx. to 150 km(si igual que el numero de la ruta) of the city of La Rioja. No worry if you see the closed entrance. They must go to find the guide of the tourism cooperative called Pucará located in a shelter on the same route. This just antes(si van de la ciudad de La Rioja hacia Villa Union) of the Hotel El chiflón waterfalls. We ourselves received Yolanda and made a simple walk of an hour. Very well prepared and trained to tell the story of the place, its geological characteristics and on the ethnic groups that inhabited this place. We showed the morteros(agujeros en la piedra basucamente) where the ancient inhabitants were preparing their meal and the whimsical shapes geological having the Park among other things. Thank you Yolanda for sharing your knowledge! But the wonderful is to walk looking at the landscape, its colours and different shapes. If you are at noon, before contract with guides who prepare them lunch. They only do so upon request. And the hat and water do not forget!

  • It is a small Provincial Park, virtually unknown and without promotion, we learned by chance by giving us a brochure, is located outside the traditional, on route 150 visible tourist routes only when it goes or comes from La Rioja capital and I agree that it is recommended to visit it before seeing Talampaya or Ichigualasto. It has only a very particular color and with very high walls of rock formations. To access it we must find a guide accompanying right in front of the entrance gate, Yolanda had a Mrs. friendly and very skilled for his work that led us inside and explained to us in detail everything that we saw. It has a short trip by car with four stops and the rest is to foot trails with something difficult with slopes. It would require increased provincial support to this place and caregivers show, deserve.

  • While it is surprising, it is recommended to do so before Talampaya or Ischigualasto. The Park is in development and not have guides (but Baqueanos, ask for "El Abuelo" or Paco. Still has a lot more to show. In a few years we think back to deepen the ride!
