Where to stay in La Plata

Many of La Plata's accommodation options lie within the geometric square of the city core, which plays home to a majority of the town's tourist attractions. The variety of mid-range hotels in the city center keeps prices reasonably low; many of these are located in historic buildings just a few blocks from central Plaza Morena and within easy walking distance to the museum of La Plata, the cathedral, and main road arteries. If you're on a tight budget, consider staying at one of the city center's many hostels; though you'll likely be sharing a room with others in bunk beds, the low prices make them economical options.

  • The Planetarium at La Plata city is a nice tour when visiting the Buenos Aires area. Brand new facility, provides shows to different ages, including those developed by its own and enthusiastic staff.  more »
  • Modern, attractive to a different experience. Advice. Located in the middle of the forest walk which allows access to other places as the Museum, the grotto,

  • It is good overall but honestly I expected something more than projections... the room is interesting but perhaps could deepen, explain, give a talk... Beware of the too small niñxs thinkers can be somewhat overwhelming sound and images because they are projected onto the sphere... There was a time that observations were made I do not know if they currently continue...

  • We love! We were family, a Sunday and saw two functions: from the Earth to the universe and Belisario. It is free and there are bonds voluntary contribution of $30. Beautiful for an afternoon and learn. Also were lucky to see a choir while we expected between a function and the other function. Recommend remove entries with some time, (we got them, we went to lunch and returned) the place is not very big and has many concurrency.

  • Good place to go with kids. The facilities are new and comfortable. There are educational functions, but also there are musical performances.

  • Outside the hours of shows there is nothing to see. The schedules are a joke in bad taste
