Browse the goods on display at Pasaje Rodrigo | Mall Boutique, a thriving retail area with an interesting history and notable architecture. Opened in 1929 by Spanish immigrant Basilio Rodrigo, the mall was the first commercial "galeria" (a precursor to malls in the country) in the town. Closed for 10 years, the mall reopened with a refurbished interior, highlighting the neoclassical and Baroque features of the original design. Hosting some of the world's leading brands in the realms of fashion, technology, and homeware, the mall's upmarket selection complements its architectural grandeur . Where to stay in La Plata

Many of La Plata's accommodation options lie within the geometric square of the city core, which plays home to a majority of the town's tourist attractions. The variety of mid-range hotels in the city center keeps prices reasonably low; many of these are located in historic buildings just a few blocks from central Plaza Morena and within easy walking distance to the museum of La Plata, the cathedral, and main road arteries. If you're on a tight budget, consider staying at one of the city center's many hostels; though you'll likely be sharing a room with others in bunk beds, the low prices make them economical options.

  • No cheap, but all the great brand names in the same place. Anyway there's plenty of shopping in the city, but if you want the top of the line, drop here.  more »
  • Shopping Mall? Really?? that´s like a house with different brands, that´s all. Small, not suitable for disabled people and close at 9pm.  more »
  • Though a little small, it is a very good and the only one shopping mall that deserves to be visited in La Plata. Several stores of excellent brands for women, men and children.  more »

  • It is very nice as I walk a little. Locals are very exclusive, which makes the value of l offering extremely expensive. I disagree with that security men only to open the door to people who are well dressed. There are quite a few discriminators in that sense. So put some shims, but you are point blank, do not you open.
