Mizujo Campo Libre, La Plata

4.2
Enjoy a sense of freedom from the urban rush at Mizujo Campo Libre, a field with an authentic Japanese garden and a family-friendly array of recreational and relaxation activities. A family of Japanese immigrants set this up in the 1970s as their own private paradise; twenty years later the Mizujo family chose to open their precious space to tourism. Keep your eyes out for wildlife as you walk around the field, from a variety of songbirds and foul to authentic koi in the garden ponds. • Beautiful place to spend the day. Farm with many animals. Japanese garden with fish. Venue with playground. Large section with tables and barbecue area for picnics (you can't roast). Many trees and have a very large nursery. The restaurant is in turn does not have much capacity. An ideal place to take pictures. Throughout the campus is well maintained and very clean. Entry get 100 pesos under 12 years do not pay. Highly recommended.

  • A good idea to go with children to enjoy a green space and many animals. Remember to bring bread to feed the fish and finite strips of carrot, to feed the sheep, rabbits, goats and horses.

Where to stay in La Plata

Many of La Plata's accommodation options lie within the geometric square of the city core, which plays home to a majority of the town's tourist attractions. The variety of mid-range hotels in the city center keeps prices reasonably low; many of these are located in historic buildings just a few blocks from central Plaza Morena and within easy walking distance to the museum of La Plata, the cathedral, and main road arteries. If you're on a tight budget, consider staying at one of the city center's many hostels; though you'll likely be sharing a room with others in bunk beds, the low prices make them economical options.
