House of Manuel Mujica Lainez, La Cumbre

#2 of 12 in Things to do in La Cumbre
Take a trip back into Argentina's literary heritage at House of Manuel Mujica Lainez, once the primary residence of famous writer Manuel Mujica Láinez. Built between 1915 and 1920, the house offers a well-preserved example of bold domestic architecture from the time, with its whitewashed walls and many terracotta roofs. Inside, the building houses the writer's furniture, clothes, ornaments, and artworks, positioned in situ across the many rooms. Head to the library to see exhibits on the author's main research subjects and interests. The landscaped gardens--the work of architect and landscaping artist Carlos Thays--include ornamental features, such as fountains and statues, connected by pleasant walking routes. • If they come to Cruz chica can not miss the Museum Manuel Mujica lainez, throughout its history, the Museum. The excellent quality of the guides and very good reception and attention. The $100 great input. IMPORTANT; NOT BE LEFT TO TAKE PICTURES INSIDE THE MUSEUM

  • Visit PIN. Exceptional place. Besides knowing the House of summer and the last years of life of M. Mujica Láinez, you can learn many details of his links with the history of argentina. The entrance, reasonable value. You can buy several titles of his books at the reception.

  • The Museum is the House where the writer lived. It is interesting to know their favorite corners. Your desk, armchairs, ornaments and a small Altar.
