House of Manuel Mujica Lainez, La Cumbre
(4.2/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web)
Take a trip back into Argentina's literary heritage at House of Manuel Mujica Lainez, once the primary residence of famous writer Manuel Mujica Láinez. Built between 1915 and 1920, the house offers a well-preserved example of bold domestic architecture from the time, with its whitewashed walls and many terracotta roofs. Inside, the building houses the writer's furniture, clothes, ornaments, and artworks, positioned in situ across the many rooms. Head to the library to see exhibits on the author's main research subjects and interests. The landscaped gardens--the work of architect and landscaping artist Carlos Thays--include ornamental features, such as fountains and statues, connected by pleasant walking routes. • A rainy day we went, the truth is more interesting from outside to inside. The gardens are well cared for and maintained. I do not recommend to go with small children, is more a Museum of objects of the writer. The visit is guided.

  • Unfortunately I could only see outside because it wasn't day when I was at the Summit "Maravilloso" or think about what you should be down inside
