Dique San Jeronimo, La Cumbre

#4 of 12 in Things to do in La Cumbre
Visit South America’s first arched dam, Dique San Jeronimo. The structure was built in 1942 and is one of the smallest in the region. Take a walk around the dam via the trails or cross it using the pedestrian the bridge. You'll find a small waterfall nestled within the surrounding lush green bushes. A flat, grassy area near the water provides a good spot for a picnic. Use our La Cumbre holiday builder website to add Dique San Jeronimo and other attractions to your La Cumbre vacation plans.

  • This artificial lake is the water supply of the small town of La Cumbre. The road to get there is passable and it's already a pretty ballad by car or bicycle. The disc she even is well appointed. The place is romantic and a short walk leads to a headland where there is a lovely view of the water. Young children must be well supervised during this market. For the bravest it's the departure of a few hikes that join the city or along the stream that feeds the reservoir.

  • We went with my family to see the dam and get 5 minutes broke us the glass of the car and we stole everything! Regrettable, the place is nice but the people there a trash. All accomplices and those who "care" not to mention.
